## What it does.

Invoices go to clients from the company records the rest of your workspace uses, so the address on one is the address somebody last corrected. Line items multiply out, the tax rate is applied, and the total is never a number somebody typed. Payments are recorded against the invoice, part payments included, and the balance due follows. The overview shows what’s unpaid and how overdue it is, which is the list most founders want on the first of the month.

-   INVOICE One record per invoice, against the client company everyone else uses
-   LINES Line items that add up to the total instead of a number somebody typed
-   SEND Draft, sent, paid or cancelled, each a step rather than a field to edit
-   PAYMENTS Payments recorded against the invoice, including part payments
-   OUTSTANDING What is unpaid and how overdue, without building a report first
