Not an enterprise with a platform team, and not a solo side project. Cordango is for companies where the work has outgrown a shared spreadsheet, the subscription list keeps getting longer, and somebody has just discovered they can build their own tools with AI.
Most companies we talk to recognise at least three of these. If you recognise all four, we built this for you.
Every problem got its own tool. Three of them hold a copy of your customer list, two are paid for by someone who has left, and the invoices arrive from eleven vendors in eleven formats.
The holiday planner, the asset list, the pipeline, the onboarding checklist. They work until the second person needs them, and then nobody is sure which file is current.
You need hosting you can name, a processing agreement you can hand to a customer, and a record of who changed what. Not for a certificate on the wall, for the next audit and the next tender.
Somebody made something genuinely useful last month in a tool nobody approved. The question is no longer whether to allow it. It is where it should run and who owns it afterwards.
None of these is a software problem on its own. Together they are the reason the fifth tool costs more than the first four.
Most of the companies we work with have between ten and a few hundred people. Big enough that a spreadsheet with six editors is a real risk and that somebody has to answer for who saw what. Small enough that there is no platform team to ask and no budget for a six-month rollout.
There is usually no IT department, or there is one person who is also doing three other jobs. That shapes the whole product. Nobody here has time to learn an app-building platform, and nobody wants to become the administrator of the tool they asked for.
The managing director is usually the one counting the subscriptions. The team lead is the one whose process lives in a spreadsheet and who has given up asking for software. The technical person, if there is one, is the one who quietly inherited every tool anybody ever built.
Cordango is aimed at the first two. Somebody who understands the work describes it and gets a working app, and the technical person stops being the single point of failure because the app belongs to the company rather than to whoever set it up.
Cordango is built and hosted in Germany on EU infrastructure, GDPR-first. One data processing agreement instead of one per tool. One field-level history across every app, so who changed what is a question with an answer. Single sign-on is included rather than sold as an enterprise tier.
It matters most at the moment somebody asks where a particular piece of company data actually sits. Across eleven subscriptions that question takes a week and three support tickets. Here it has one answer, and a new app does not add a new one.
Keep your payroll and your accounting where the law and your tax advisor expect them. Those are specialist products with specialist obligations, and replacing them with something you generated yourself is a bad trade. Cordango runs the operational apps around them.
If you have a developer team that wants SQL and JavaScript against databases you already run, Retool, Appsmith and ToolJet are built for exactly that. If you must own the infrastructure, they self-host and we do not. And if you are an enterprise with a platform team and a five-year roadmap, you are not who we designed this for. We would rather you knew that before the trial than after it.
The fastest way to find out whether this fits your company is to watch one of your own processes become a working app. About 30 minutes, on a real company platform.
